Success with Runovia™

Runovia™ Goes the Distance
Todd Heady, winner of Double Iron Distance (2.4 mile swim / 224 mile bike / 52.4 mile run) triathlons in the US and Canada, and a member of Team Runovia™, is the quintessential athlete: he lives to train and compete. Not only did he win the 2004 Champion of the Americas Triathlon Lévis Double Iron Distance Ultra Triathlon, and the Virginia Double Iron Distance Ultra Triathlon in 2005, Todd was also the top US finisher (placing 7th overall) in the 2005 World Quintuple Iron Distance (12 mile swim, 560 mile bike, 131 mile run) championship. Team Runovia™ expects to be sending Todd to compete in the 2007 World Quintuple Iron Distance championship in Monterrey, Mexico.

Through Headfirst Performance Services, a race management firm he founded and operates with his wife Cynthia, Todd was also race director for the inaugural Runovia™ Triathlon, held under extraordinary conditions in September 2006. The participants' commitment to completing the competition on course — despite delays forced by a tornado warning and severe thunderstorms, along with high winds — is testament to their dedication and to the spirit of Runovia™.

Along with Todd Heady, Runovia™ is committed to put intensely training athletes in a position to perform at their best, whether in their daily training regimen or in competition. That commitment is reflected in Runovia™'s continued support of leading-edge research into the molecular mechanism of supplement action as well as its sponsorship of the Runovia™ Triathlon and Team Runovia™.

Runovia™ salutes Todd Heady, the participants in the 2006 Runovia™ Triathlon, and all athletes who seek to perform at their best!

The Very Best

Karen Bradley is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN). As such, she has to stay current with the latest developments in pain management and remain aware of what people can do to manage their own health and not present with recurring pain-related problems.

Karen's research led her to Runovia™. The results Karen has observed with Runovia™ are, in her words, "consistent with the very best that well-informed consumers can do" to maintain joint health and not present with recurrent injuries due to overuse and inadequate nutrition.

"I recommend Runovia™ to everyone in my circle of influence who trains hard. I am especially pleased to notice much less dependence on palliative pain-relieving medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients and friends whose training regimens are properly designed and who, in a well-informed way, supplement a well-balanced diet with leading-edge nutraceuticals — such as the entire Runovia™ family of products."

Karen adds that she gives her dogs Trixsyn® — a oral hyaluronan supplement for canine use from the makers of Runovia™ — and has noticed substantial improvement in their condition. "And," she notes wryly, "there is definitely no placebo effect with my dogs."

Runovia™ Knows Knees!

Although I'm just 24 years old, I've been a competitive runner for 15 years now. As a high-schooler, I struggled with knee problems, which only increased during my college running days (where I was all-conference in cross country and qualified for the NAIA championship in the marathon) and into post-college running. I began to take more and more weeks off from running due to knee problems each year. After being forced to walk the last 10K in two consecutive marathons because the pain was too much, I decided to take up biking and swimming to relieve some of the stress I encountered while pounding away on the roads.

I was enjoying triathlons, but deep down I knew I really wanted to concentrate more on running, including making the leap into the ultramarathon world. But I thought that would never happen…until I was introduced to Runovia™.

After taking Runovia™ twice per day for one week, I could really tell the difference. My knee pain completely went away and I had more bounce in my stride. I slowly increased my mileage, and now I'm back to the level I was during college. I even completed a solo run across the state in July, covering 35 miles per day for a week. The one thing I made sure I carried with me along the way was my Runovia™ bottle. There's no way I could have completed the run without its help. And now I'm training for a 50-mile race. After that, I plan to do a 100-miler!

Runovia™ has saved my running.
